My work in instructional design and learning experience design is grounded in a simple idea: effective learning starts with understanding people and the problem you're trying to solve.
I’m fascinated by how people make sense of information—what they need to know, where the learning challenge lies, and what will help them apply what they learn. Over the past 20 years, I’ve designed and led learning experiences for academic, professional, and executive audiences, including through the English Language Institute, School of Continuing Studies, and Schulich School of Business at York University. At the Schulich School of Business, one of Canada's leading business schools, I designed learning for working professionals across business, finance, and HR, with a focus on practical application and real-world workplace needs.
As a teacher trainer working with adult learners, I developed deep expertise in adult learning strategies and in designing learning experiences that move beyond information delivery toward meaningful practice and application. I have been designing synchronous and asynchronous e-learning for more than 15 years. My work has included curriculum design, course leadership, learner engagement, and collaboration with faculty, subject-matter experts, and external partners, including Deloitte Mexico, Monterrey Institute of Technology, and Meiji University.
Today, through Elevate English Studio, I bring that experience into corporate communication training for multilingual professionals. I design and deliver digital learning experiences that help professionals communicate more effectively and apply what they learn in real-world situations. This work allows me to bring together learning design, communication, technology, and continuous improvement.
My background also includes a Master's in Applied Linguistics, a Bachelor of Commerce, and earlier experience in marketing research—experiences that strengthened my understanding of communication, business, research, and problem-solving. Together with my learning design experience, they allow me to adapt to different organizational contexts, subject areas, and learner needs.
I love what I do. There is something incredibly fulfilling about learning something new—and then helping someone else learn it, too. That is why I choose this work: it is my small contribution to helping people grow and make meaningful progress, one learning objective at a time.

Beyond my work, I’m a proud mom, an avid traveller, and someone who is endlessly curious about the world. I’ve travelled to about 50 countries, taught in Brazil, China, and Japan, and even had the opportunity to be interviewed on national television in both Brazil and China.
I speak five languages with varying degrees of fluency, and I have a particular interest in Canadian and international real estate. I also love spending time in nature—whether that means relaxing on a beach, discovering a waterfall, exploring the desert, or getting lost in a rainforest.
I’m happiest when I’m learning, exploring, and experiencing something new—and I try to bring some of that light and curiosity to every project I work on.
